The Ties that Bind Us & the Rules that Define Us
Clan Rules
1. Clan Tags - Clan Tags should be worn at all times with the account that other players in clan know you. This rule exists for two reasons. One, by dropping our tags, we actually lose our presence in the community, which tends to give more prestige to other clans, typically more than they actually deserve. Two, and the most important, is that if other players figure out you have changed your nick on your main account, they actually go and register a fake email address, and account, and then steal your nick.
2. Treat fellow clan members with respect. Don't talk down to other members. If you feel another member is not playing up to par, then help them fix the problem. All clan members have the capability to improve as no one is perfect. Review the films with them, help them figure out what they did wrong. You will help make them a better player, help the clan be stronger, and avoid situations that can quickly escalate out of control.
3. Don't Get Into a War of Words with Non-Clan Members. There's a lot of guys that talk smack online, but getting into a war of words with them only brings you down to their level. Even if you 'win' the war of words, it just means you were able to be a bigger jerk than they were, and if a non clan member views the exchange, then it only makes the Triple Threat Clan look bad. It's basically a no win situation, so take the high road. Kick or ban the players if you have to in your game rooms. Or simply ignore them in the main lobby, after all, it's only words guys. They only hurt if you let 'em. ;)
Clan Smurfing Policy
Smurfing is when a player creates another account in order to play against a player they don't want to play against with their regular account for fear of losing, or smurfing is an account that a player creates for the express purpose of hiding who they are when playing against another player in order to gain an unfair advantage. The Triple Threat Clan frowns heavily upon smurfing. Smurfing is only supported if the player who is under the smurf account lets the other players know who they are prior to the launch of the game. Smurfing has it place when it comes to learning / trying to strategies, but not when it comes to defeating our opponents. The skill of our clan is such that defeating our opponents does not require such a low handed tactic.
Entry into the Clan
Entry into the clan requires 5 votes from any combination of team members. Below is the Player Ability Scale, all Triple Threat Clan Members should be at least a 2, and preferably a 1.
Player Ability Scale
1. Elite -- Excellent 1v1 and Team Based player. A danger and threat in any scenario. Their teammates love them, their opponents fear them.
2. Good -- Understands Build Orders, Attack strategies, terrain affects, and retreats appropriately.
3. Solid -- Understands Build Orders, but might not attack / retreat well enough to win battles, but good enough to be a problem.
4. Poor -- Able to Build Something and get units on the field but quickly loses them in battle.
5. Noob -- Non concept of Build orders, and quickly loses units, always a non-factor in a team game.
Removal from the Clan
There are two ways to be removed. One is to have 5 members ask for a single person to be removed, this could be do to their attitude, or their lack of ability (after multiple attempts to train). The other is 3 violations of the Clan Rules. 3 notable violations of the clan rules will result in immediate removal from the clan. The clan is meant to be fun, and something that we can take pride in. Anything less is unacceptable.
Website Access
The new site is now up and running. A lot of effort has been put into providing a site where members can discuss strategies and communicate with each other. All members are urged to visit the website to keep up on the news and to participate in the forums.
